Anthony D. Green

Anthony Duane Green, was born to Deborah Green and Butch Williams on April 5, 1967, in Des Moines, Iowa. He was raised and educated in the area, attending Des Moines Technical School. Following his general education, Anthony worked for the Des Moines public school system, primarily in the pre-school areas. He was also employed at the Des Moines Airport, working as a Transport Shuttle Driver, as well as Iowa Methodist Hospital.

Anthony was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, and enjoyed bowling, fishing, baseball and football (his favorite team being the Dallas Cowboys). He also enjoyed music of all types and loved to sing. Anthony loved spending time with his family and working with kids, and they loved being with him.

Anthony passed away on August, 27th, 2017. In his life transition, he rejoins his grandparents, Effie Phillips, William and Margaret Green.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Anthony D. Green II; daughter, Chante D. Green; step-children, Alonzo James, Nadia James, and Imani James; brother, Torrey J. Thomas; sisters, Bridgett Bright, Jennell Williams and Yolanda Holt; as well as his ex-wife, Yolanda Galvin.Visitation
