Dorothy Lorriane Malone

Dorothy Lorraine (Henderson) Malone was born on September 20, 1944 to William Henderson and Alice (Lee) Roley, in Des Moines, IA.



Dorothy was married to the love of her life, Roscoe Malone Jr. in 1973. The couple was blessed with four children, William, Roberta, Christine and Sandra. Sadly, Sandra would precede her in death.



Dorothy loved the Lord! She professed Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age. She was a member of Christ Apostolic Temple until she was led to attend Faith Church of the Nazarene under the pastoral leadarship of Pastor Warren Rogers.



In her free-time, Dorothy enjoyed a variety of pass times. Fishing, playing bid-whist and dancing while she listened to Motown classics were amongst her favorite things to do. A frequent traveler, Dorothy never passed up an opportunity to visit new places. She particularly enjoyed finding new shopping venues to pick up a thing or two. She also was a talented cook and her golden fried chicken will surely be missed.



On August 15, 2016, Dorothy answered the call to be with the Lord. She was greeted on the other side by her daughter, Sandra; parents, Alice Lee-Roley and William "Wild Bill" Henderson; her siblings, Tim Lee, Harold Lee, Donald Lee, Silas Lee, Vivian Lee, Anita Hill, Claire Berry and Gary Lee, Sr.



Dorothy's memory shall forever live on through her husband, Roscoe; children, William Malone, Roberta Malone and Christine Williamson; grandchildren, August, Roman, Briana, Jamie, Jasmine, William, Justine and Josie; three great-grandchildren; brother, Joe Lee and a host of other relatives and friends.
