Lara Suzanne Foss

Lara Suzanne Foss was born on September 30, 1967 in Leach Lake-Native American Reservation, in Hinckley, MN. She attended school in the local school district and graduated from Hinckley High School. Years later she continued her education at Des Moines Area Community College where she studied Culinary Arts.



Lara always put her leisure time to good use. She never passed an opportunity up to spend time with her grandson, Tai Chean, whom she loved dearly. She also loved spending time with her family and friends, often sharing laughs and memories while eating a meal at her favorite restaurants. During her private time at home, Lara would watch her favorite crime dramas, CSI and Law and Order. Proud of her Native American Heritage, Lara would visit the reservations whenever she had an opportunity. She fully embraced the Cherokee and Chippewa Nation customs and culture.



On April 23, 2016 Lara passed away peacefully. She was preceded in death by her birth parents.



Left to cherish Lara's memory are her children, Alice (Shan Tai) Rogers and Jonathon Foss; parents, Rodney and Susan Foss; siblings, Jenny Foss, Peter Foss; her best friend, Margaret; in-laws, Raymel Rogers and Michelle Hubbard, her Vineyard Church Family and a host of other relatives and friends.



Lara was cremated and service details will be announced at a later date.
