Obituary

Samuel Phillip Palmer Sr. was born on December 2, 1982 to Samuel Boone and Sonja Palmer in Des Moines, IA.

Samuel grew up in Des Moines and was educated in the Des Moines public school system. He later received a Business Clerical Certification from the Woman's Center at the Evelyn Davis Center.

Samuel was an aspiring rapper and spent many hours in the studio recording. He enjoyed singing as well but knew he should stick to rapping. He was a rap enthusiast, his favorites rappers were Tupac, DMX and Nelly. He dreamed of one day owning his own business. Samuel liked to fish as long as somebody else cleaned and cooked them. Samuel loved shoe shopping, miniature golf and was known to be a jokester. Above all Samuel loved his family and spending time with his son, Samuel Jr.

On June 10, 2015 Samuel stepped from time into eternity. Waiting to greet him on the other side was his son, Samir Palmer; his sister, Porsha Boone; his grandma, Penelope Palmer and his aunt, Robin Trudeau.

Left to cherish Samuel's memory are his son and step daughter, Samuel Palmer Jr. (Charnell Harris) and Jone't Frizell (Johnetta Daye); his loving companion, Gloria; his parents, Samuel Boone and Sonja Palmer; his siblings, Tasha, Angela, Cherrie, Tyree, Michael, Marshell, Angel, Keisha, Phillip, Anthony Anthony and Clara; along with a host of extended family and friends.

Memorials in Sam's honor may be made to the funeral home.
