Violet Marie Couch

Violet Marie Couch, daughter of Charles Raymond and Catherine Feuring, was born on January 16, 1920 in Nevinville, IA. She married Carl A. Couch on April 14, 1940. They made their home and raised their two children, Carlita and Michael, on the east side of Des Moines.

In retirement, Vi took up cake decorating and quilting until poor eyesight forced her to give them up. She was an active member of All Saints Catholic Church, Happy Quilters and VFW Women's Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carl; daughter, Carlita Judge; three brothers, Warren, Rudolph, and Elmer Feuring; and two sisters, Neoma Huss and Alice Keller.

Violet is survived by her son, Michael (Bernice); three grandchildren, David Couch, Tim Judge and Jill White; four great-grandchildren, Adam and Cora Couch, Gregory and Tiffany White; and a son-in-law, James Judge and a host of other relatives and friends.
