Willie John Hilson

Willie John Hilson was born on July 23, 1957 to James and Eddie (Moore) Hilson in Tutwiler, MS. His family would relocate to Des Moines, IA where Willie would finish his formal education and graduate from Roosevelt High School.



After graduation, Willie went straight to work. He worked several jobs throughout his life, working mainly as a laborer in the construction field.



When he wasn't working, Willie was busy enjoying life. He was skilled in karate and judo and trained for the Olympics as a young man. Willie also was an avid sports fan and never passed up an opportunity to take a trip out of town.



On January 17, 2016 Little Willie transitioned from time into eternity. He was greeted on the other side by his parents, James and Eddie Hilson; siblings, Dollie, Ree, Elizabeth, Natha, A.D., M.C. and Red.



Left to cherish Little Willie's memory are his daughters, Karen and Winter; siblings, Nellie, James, May, Bea, Cleotha, Frank, John Lee, Nancy, J.W., Eddie, David, Odell, Diane, Michael and Lisa and a host of other relatives and friends.
