Charlean Evelyn Nelson

Charlean Nelson passed away February 27, 2022. Funeral Services are scheduled for 1 pm TODAY, March 9, 2022 at Henderson's Funeral Home Chapel.

Charlean Evelyn Nelson was born February 28, 1948 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Bert and Mary Sampson Nelson.

She graduated from Townsend Park High School in Pine Bluff Arkansas. Charlean moved to Minneapolis and later relocated to Des Moines IA, and began working in the hospitality industry where she worked for many different hotels.

Charlean accepted Christ at and early age and enjoyed going to Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. She also loved listening and singing gospel music. Charlean was a good cook and could throw down on some chitterlings, greens, and black eyed peas. And she baked pies as well as cakes.

Charlean was a very caring mother. She also had a great relationship with her siblings and her mother.

Charlean Evelyn Nelson passed away on February 27, 2022. one day before her birthday. She was preceded in death by her father, Bert Howard Nelson Sr., brother, Bert Howard Nelson Jr., Mrs. Queen E Caldwell, Jessie Sampson, Stanley Nelson.

Charlean leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Linda K (Glenn) Bryan: mother, Mary Nelson; siblings, Russell Nelson, Ben Nelson, Mark Nelson, Earl Nelson, Pearlie Mae Vaughn, Major Nelson, Ira Irvin Nelson, her family in Minneapolis MN and Des Moines IA, and a host of extended family and friends.
