Demetria Davis passed away on October 9, 2023.

Obituary

Demetria Davis was born January 25, 1963 to Mary W. Davis in Chicago, Illinois. Demetria was educated in the Chicago Public School District, where she graduated from Crenshaw High School.

Demetria fought through several health challenges but    always had a great outlook on life. She found love in the person of Charles Rogers. Charles said it was Demetria’s love that made him want to be a better man for her. They loved and cared for each other for 23 years.

Demetria enjoyed cooking.  She really knew how to burn. She would watch the cooking shows and try to copy the recipes from scratch.  Her favorite shows  were                   Ridiculousness, along with Kojak and Miami Vice. Demetria was skilled in playing dominoes and spades. In her free time she was always finding new hairstyles to do for      herself. She also loved getting dressed up. Demetria had a   passion for flowers and cats. She was always busy.

Demetria passed away on October 6, 2023. She leaves many precious memories with her companion, Charles Rogers; children, Shavonne, Mario, and Marico; her mother, Mary W. Davis; siblings, Gregory, Wanda, and Margie; grandchildren, Lamika and Kenyonna Staples, Shimariah, Amari, Mario Jr, Shirrell, Mario II, Charlie, Rayaka and Curtis; Great-Grandchildren, Mr. Brice and Ms. Mya and a host of other relatives and friends.
