Donald H. Williams was born March 7, 1927 in Des Moines Iowa to Perry Williams and Senila Pendleton.

At age eighteen Donald entered the United States Army. He was stationed overseas in Guam during WWII. He was honorably discharged after receiving a WWII Victory medal.

Once Don returned stateside he owned and operated a gas station. He later worked for the United States Postal Service and at Kucharos Mens Clothing Store. He always liked to dress nice.

The Bible states, "Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord". Don found this in the person of Glyndoris King. To this union, five children were born.

When Don wasnt working he enjoyed bowling, fishing, working on cars, and traveling. He loved taking care of the yard and gardening. He always had an abundance of green beans and tomatoe's and would even mow the neighbors yards. A strong man of faith, Don served as a Deacon at Shiloh Baptist Church, True Bible Baptist Church, and lastly at Corinthian Baptist Church where he served in any capacity needed.

Donald passed away May 4, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Senila and Perry Williams; his son, Robert; his siblings, Blanch, Perry "Bujoe" and Robert "Johnny".

Donald is survived by his wife of 71 years, Glyndoris (King) Williams, his children, Richard Williams of IA, Lois (Eddie) Holloman, of Los Angeles, CA, Linda Williams of Chicago, Illinois, and Mark Williams of IA; three grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.Visitation
