Elias Tembe

Elias Ogutu Azariah Tembe, 72, of Des Moines, Iowa, and formerly of Kenya, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.   Born to Azariah Tembe Otiwa and Kerina Ombaka Ochuonyo, Elias eventually married Roseline Ngare and was blessed with many children where he found a passion as being a loving father.

Elais spent many years as a Professor for the Military as he spent time in Marshall, Texas and then came to live in Iowa.  He enjoyed helping others as a Medical Aid at Mosiac.  

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons and daughters; Maureen, Ken, Crispine, Monica, Ibrahim, Julius, Vella, Daniel, Joysette and Joel.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024, at Hendersons Funeral & Cremation Care in Des Moines from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. He will be buried in Kenya.
