Ella Renay Bailey

Ella Renay Bailey was born on November 5, 1962 to Frank Baily and Ella Wee Walker in Des Moines, IA. She was educated in the Des Moines School District and graduated from North High School. During her time at North she was a member of the Track team competing in the shot put. She continued her education at Des Moines Area Community College.

Ella worked in the health services field as a Certified Nursing Assistant and as a home health aide. Her strong work ethic ensured that she was able to care for her family while she took care of her patients. In her free time Ella enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She would often sit outside playing dominoes and card games while listening to old school jams. R Kelly and Al Green were her favorites. An avid football fan, she would always watch her Green Bay Packers crush the competition every week.

Ella passed away on September 9, 2018. Patiently awaiting her arrival were her parents, Frank Bailey and Ella Wee Walker.

Ellas memory will live on through her daughters, LaShauna Bailey and Ashley Brown; grandchildren, Nautiah Bailey, Chontia Bailey, Ahjahlia Brown, ReZon Brown, Sharyah Burrage, Semaj Brown and Marcus Evans; great grandchildren, NaLaiyah Bailey, Nautiella Ussin and Alyana Ussin; siblings, Doris Ann, Tammy, Gina, Chrissy, Fritzie, Derry, Willie, Frank, Tony, Yolanda, Amber and Tracey along with a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

A memorial visitation was held Sunday, followed by a gathering of friends at Cheatom Park.
