Ethellena J. Headspeath was born August 2, 1941 to Dewey Fred North and Vera Marie Wade in Des Moines, IA. She attended public school in Des Moines and graduated from Tech High School. She then began her career as a Pension administrator for Principal Finance for 29 years. She has been retired for over 15 years.
Ethellena was a member of Greenwood Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnessess and devoted her life to field service and bible study. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and cooking; her catfish and red velvet cake will be greatly missed. Despite being an independent person, Ethellena always had room in her heart for her family, which she loved dearly.
Ethellena passed away February 20. 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ethellena is preceded in death by her parents, Dewey North and Vera Marie Wade; her husband of 25 years, Eugene Headspeath; sister, Lucinda Clark; brothers, Leonard Perry, Richard Perry, Bill Perry, Norman Perry, Wayne Perry, Stephen Headspeath, and Moe Weaver; and children, Marva Perry, Carletta Haygood, Cathy Jones, Raymond Carr, Theodore Carr, Myna Clark, and Yvette Clark.
Ethellena is survived by her children, Archie Clark (Michelle), William Clark (Tamicka), Terrance Plaid, Laurie Perry-Woods (Kenneth), Connie Perry (Tyrone), Monica Perry-Chester (Mike), Sherry Perry, Ricky Perry, Noveeta Haygood, Tonia Clark-Logan, Twoana Clark-Sheppard (Milan), Tony Haygood, and Lavertus Haygood. siblings, Trella Perry, Betty Weaver and Lucille Perry; fourteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
