George Woods, Ii Jr.

George Woods, Jr., II went home to be with the Lord March 24, 2022.

George Woods Jr. II, was born November 20, 1946 to George Woods, Jr. and Vivian Hortense (Williams) Woods in Des Moines, Iowa. George attended and graduated from East High School.

George, was a quiet man who enjoyed his alone time. He liked going on walks and enjoyed nature and fishing. He was an excellent baker and at one point worked for Kirkwood Hotel in the kitchen as their baker. Although George was a serious person, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. George wasnt really a mechanic, but he enjoyed getting his hands dirty by tinkering with cars. George was affiliated with the C.O.G.I.C. Church, attending Greater Love Church of God In Christ when he had the chance.

George is preceded in death by his mother, Vivian Woods; father, George Woods, Sr.; brothers, Ronnie and Wayne, and his grandparents, Belle Givens, George Woods Jr. I, Margaret Smith and Green Williams.

George is survived by his siblings, Evelyn Jean Muhammad, Pastor Jerald (Phyllis) Woods, Sharon Mosley, Toney (Pat)Woods, Louis (Geraldine) Woods, David Woods, and Steven Woods; along with a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
