Jordan Richard Bailey

Jordan Richard Bailey was born on January 4, 1985 to Micheal and Judi (Ackelson) Bailey, in Des Moines, IA. He was educated in Des Moines School District and graduated from North High School in 2003. Jordan continued his education at Des Moines Area Community College where he studied business.



Jordan worked several jobs throughout his life. Most recently he was employed a UPS as a Package Handler. In his free time he enjoyed the serenity of taking long bike rides to clear his mind. He also filled his time with food and family. Jordan took pride in his grilling abilities and was always ready to man the grill at any time. Some of his fondest memories involved family meals, especially during the holidays.



In addition to cooking, Jordan also loved entertaining his nieces and nephews. He will forever be remembered as the “Fun Uncle”, as you can rest assured there was never a dull moment if Uncle Jordan was around. He also spent his time listening to music and watching his favorite 80s and 90s movie classics.



Jordan was also an intellectual man who studied current events and kept up on world news. He was an avid reader and enjoyed learning about other cultures and their systems of government. More often than not if Jordan was relaxing, he was reading.



Jordan passed away on September 12, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, Micheal Bailey, Sr. and grandparents, Rowena Bailey, Burton Bailey and Donna Ackelson.



Left to cherish Jordans memory is his mother, Judi Ann Bailey; brothers, Micheal Bailey, Jr. and Andrew Bailey; grandfather, Harold Ackelson; nephews, Xavier and Isaiah and nieces, Aleigha, Olivia and Layla and a host of other relatives and friends.Visitation
