Kim Mcmahan

Kim McMahan was a wonderful woman that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. 'Maw Maw' as she was called by her grandchildren, and 'Kimmy' as she was called by most members of her family, was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister & friend.

Kim's story began on February 7,1957, where she was born to Mary Alma Carter & Herman Haygood. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, where she spent her childhood growing up, making many life long friends. Des Moines is where she would meet her husband, Ron McMahan, and were married on April 29,1979.

Kim's grandchildren were her heart & joy. There's no denying that her grandbabies, as she called them were the people she loved the most. Time spent at 'maw maw's' house was very special for her & her grandbabies.

Many showed Kim much love & respect & everyone knew that she didn't have a problem standing her ground when it came to her family. Kim was a loving, outgoing spirit. She loved to laugh & joke around with family & friends. She loved listening to music, dancing at family gatherings & heartfelt talks with the family. Although she was a strong willed person, she would always go above & beyond for her family, sacrificing her time whenever& wherever needed & theres no doubt that she always held the love for Jehovah very near to her heart.

Loved ones that cleared the path for Kim are mother, Mary Alma Carter; sister, Joann Carter; son Jabar Allen Carter; daughter, Roniqua McMahan & great nephew, Frederico Thompson Jr. Loved ones that will miss Kim until they meet again are husband, Ronnie McMahan; daughter, Sharice McMahan; son, Ronnie Rashaun McMahan; grandchildren, Mariyah Steward, Naquia Steward, Jerome Steward, & Willie Kimbro; brothers, Gary (Phillermena) Carter, Clinton (Sue) Carter, Danny (Margene) Carter, Richard (Maudine) Carter, Fred Carter, Darryl Carter; sister, Mica Carter and special friend, Marcelyn Forte as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and dear loved ones.
