Jodie "Jo" Mason

It is with profound sadness that Ms. Jodie “Jo” Mason, age 72, of Urbandale, IA., unfortunately made her  heavenly transition at Iowa Methodist Hospital on  Sunday,  February 25, 2024.
 Ms. Jo came from humble beginnings.  Born in Lubbock, Texas, Ms. Jo found her passion in life being a Nurse.  Jo attended Grandview College in  Des Moines, IA. where she earned her BSN in 1993.  Ms. Jo graduated at the top of her class in Nursing School.  Ms. Jo  received many accolades during her time as a Nurse.  Ms. Jo truly loved her career as a Nurse and retired from  Nursing in 2024.  

Ms. Jo was an amazing Mother, Grand-mother, Great grand-mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many.  Ms. Jo was a person who would lend an ear and the best advice to those who asked.  Ms. Jo would help wherever, however, and whomever she could.  Ms. Jo was a charitable person in many ways.  If anybody needed anything; a person to talk to,  someone during hard times; anything; she would do her best to provide it for them.  Ms. Jo loved watching all sports, but particularly cheered the most for the Golden State Warriors and Denver Broncos. 
 

Ms. Jo is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Ms. Kimberly "Kim" T Mitchell; daughter-in-law, Ms. Stacy L. Mason; son-in-law, Mr. Anthony R. Ridley Sr. and Stepfather, Mr. Warren D. Foreman Sr.

Those left behind to cherish her love and memories include; daughters, Ms. Leela R. Ridley and Ms. Jamie L. Gasaway.  sons; Mr. Larry L. Mason Jr., Mr. Mykael J. Maggett, and Mr. Brannon S. Adams; grandchildren, Teesha T. Goodwin, Travis J. Foreman, Trei M.L. Mitchell, Cashes C.   Mason, Anthony R. Ridley, Larry L.  Mason III, Tyus L. Mason, Jevon L. Mason,  Darius L. Mason,  DeMetryon M. Anderson, RaSaan M. Gasaway, KiMora D. Ellis, KiMarii K. Ellis, and TySean L. Maggett; siblings; Ms. Joyce A. Scott, Warren "Dale" Foreman Jr., Eddie R. Foreman, Gene Foreman, and Shannon L. Foreman, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  She will truly be missed by many!
