Malik Allen Rucker

Malik Allen Rucker was born on February 25, 2000 to Famous Rucker Sr. and Kimberly (Lux) Rucker in Sioux City, IA. At the age of 12, his family moved to Des Moines where he attended Lincoln High School.

Malik was an all around young man. A student athlete, Malik played for the Lincoln High School basketball, football and golf teams. He developed a strong work ethic as he had been employed at Frozen Custard, Centro and the Iowa State Fair during different times of his life. However, his work ethic did not interfere with his free time activities. Malik enjoyed playing video games, taking selfies and traveling with his family. He also had an eye for fashion, especially for Nike sneakers and long socks. His shoes, socks and his clothes had to coordinate! And lets not forget the You Tube videos! Maliks playful spirit will forever live on through his comedy skits he uploaded for all to see. It was like he left behind a piece of himself as a gift.

On April 9, 2018 Malik was called to be with the Father. He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Ronald Rucker Sr.; great grandparents, June OHara, Olive Lynn, Mable Treglia, Lawrence Lux, and Maria Crutchfield and several cousins.

Malik's memory will forever live on through his mother, Kimberly Rucker; father and stepmother, Famous and Aisha Rucker Sr.; siblings, Porsche Rucker, Famous Rucker Jr., Jessica Rucker and Krystian Johnson; uncles, Pathon Rucker ,Ronald Rucker and Travis Lux; aunts , Sabrina Rucker and Kelli Stabile; grandparents, Myrtle Olive, Teri Lux, Rich Lux and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Malik will be on Monday, April 16, 2018 at 5:30pm at the Lincoln Rails Academy located at 1000 Porter Ave., Des Moines, IA 50313. He well be available for viewing prior to the service from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm at the Rails Academy. The casket will not be opened following the eulogy. Visitation
