Monica Marie Sandoval

Monica Marie Sand,oval (Harkert) 30, passed away February 23, 2020. The daughter of Marion and Terri Harkert, was born February 4, 1990 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. She attended East High, and graduated with the class of 2006. Monica married Jose Sandoval Loza on November 19, 2011. They had 2 children, Valerie Sandoval and Enrique Luis Sandoval. Monica loved dragons, wizards, skate boarding and video games. She loved playing pool and doing things with her 2 children.

Monica was preceded in death by her father, Marion Harkert; grandfathers, Larry Andersen and Charles Walker. Those left to honor Monicas memory are her husband, Jose Sandoval Loza; children, Valerie Sandoval and Enrique Sandoval; mother, Terri; step-father, Fred Hicks; brother, James (Faith) Harkert; half-brother, Jacob Hicks; grandmother, Sharon Andersen and Lorraine Walker and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family and close friends.

A Memorial Gathering of Friends will be held on Saturday, February 29, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Henderson's. Memorial Gathering
