Montrell Lilwayne Ruffin was born December 8, 2001 in Des Moines, IA. to Michael Ruffin, Jr and Natasha Speech. He was attending Roosevelt High School and was looking forward to graduation next year. He was active in the Big Brothers program for eight years. Montrell was ambitious and had started working at Marcos Pizza to save money for school. He was happiest spending time with his siblings, playing X-box and making them laugh with his jokes. He spent a lot of time in the kitchen watching his Mom and Grandma cook. Since he liked to eat he learned his way around the kitchen too. Montrell loved all things football. He loved to play the running back and wide receiver positions. But you could put him on defense and he loved to tackle, also. When he wasnt playing sports he enjoyed listening and rapping to the latest songs.
Montrell passed away July 4, 2020. He was preceded in death by his Grandmother, Bertha Brown.
Montrell leaves to mourn his too short life, his parents, Natasha Nicole Speech and Michael Ruffin, Jr. ; his sisters, Mone Ruffin, Breeanna Brown and Myesha Ruffin; brother, Michael Ruffin; grandmothers, Carolyn Speech, and Sheila Carr; grandfathers Michael Ruffin, Sr. and Thomas Brown along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friendsVisitation
