Mr. Leroy Williams

Leroy Williams was born July 12, 1959 to Walter Williams and Annie Marshall Williams in Des Moines, Iowa.

Leroy was educated in the Des Moines Public School System where he graduated from Des Moines Tech High. Leroy loved to tinker with things and he loved cars. Tech had an automotive class, so he fit right in. He developed his love of all things mechanical at Tech. Leroy later went on to obtain an Automotive Technician certificate from Lincoln Technical Institute.

Leroy loved fixing cars. The only thing he liked better was driving thema"FAST. He had several accidents but was never seriously hurt. If he wasn't driving, Leroy was riding his bike. He loved fishing, watching old westerns or listening to old school music. He liked playing dominoes and thought he was the "Grillmaster". There was nothing like his "chewy chicken". He was a loving, but strict father to his four boys. He was generous with the material things he had and with his advice. "Do it right or you'll have to do it again," he told them. And he was only going to tell you once!

Leroy believed in a risen Savior. He attended several churches; Macedonia, St. Paul and New Birth (where he was a member). As a youngster he even sang in the choir.

On December 26, 2013 Leroy left the cares of this world behind when he went home to be with the Lord. Waiting to welcome him were his father, Walter; his brother, Neal; his grandparents, Rosalie and Rudolph Parsons and his cousin, Kay Chancellor -Cooper.

Left to continue his legacy are his sons, Jamien, Nicolas and Kristopher Williams and Joseph Woods; his grandchildren, Ramel Lane, Kai Williams, Jeremiah Williams and Nylan Williams; his mother and step father, Annie and Frank Robinson; his siblings, Barbara Grant, Sytire (Larry) Bates, Patricia Williams, Arthur (Cynthia) Williams, Elsie (Reggie) Jackson, Anthony (Kendra) Williams and Calvin Williams; his sister nieces, Loretta (Arville) Windsor and Mary (Anthony) Wells along with extended family, many friends and customers.
