Ms. Jaleeta Rogers was born May 29, 1974 to Mr. Fred Moses Williams Muhammad and Mary Elizabeth Rogers in Raleigh, North Carolina.



Jaleeta was educated in the Raleigh, North Carolina Public Schools where she graduated from Enloe High School in 1993. In her late 20's, Jaleeta moved to Iowa to be closer to her family. She attended Des Moines Area Community College then went on to Iowa State University where she received her Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and belongs to the Iowa State Alumni Association.



Jaleeta worked as a Youth Counselor for Iowa Youth Homes. She was passionate for the children there and took them to sporting events and church in her spare time.



Jaleeta was a faithful member to Corinthian Baptist Church and loved the Lord. She belonged to the Prayer, Prison, and Election Ministries and she would also volunteer at Vacation Bible School.



Jaleeta can mostly be remembered for being a jokester. She loved life, laughing and living to the fullest. She was caring, witty and smart. She enjoyed traveling and good food. Jaleeta was a pool shark and belonged to a pool league. She also favored football, especially the Philadelphia Eagles and going for Action and Sci-Fi movies at the theatre.



Jaleeta loved her family and would do anything for each and every one of them. She was a great sister, aunt, niece and friend. Jaleeta went home to be with her heavenly Father on May, 7, 2014 at the age of 39. She is preceded in death by her fianc, Bobby Marshall; her parents, Fred Moses Williams Muhammad and Mary Rogers-Williams; and her grandparents.



Those left to cherish the memory of Jaleeta are her siblings, DeAngelo Collins, Dexter Rogers, MelvaLisa Collins, LaNitra Collins, Jodie Draine, LaDelmar Draine, and LaTashia Williams; her close aunt, Joan Rogers; her special niece and nephews. Haleema Muhammad, Quandre Pulley, Awwal Muhammad, and Erriyontae Williams; along with a host of extended family and friends.
