Ms. Janice Elaine Evans

Janice Elaine Evans (Stovall) was born November 25, 1940 to Warren Henry Stovall and Alberta Burkett Stovall in Des Moines, Iowa.

Janice was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. She attended and graduated from Des Moines East High School. After graduation she obtained employment with the State of Iowa, Department of Natural Resources. She retired in 1995 to spend more time with her family, especially her grand children and great grandchildren.

Janice loved Jehovah and when she wasn't attending the Kingdom Hall she spent time listening to Kingdom Melodies, knitting, shopping, playing Scrabble or talking on the phone to her sister, JoAnn. She loved visiting Kansas City to shop, painting and drawing and spending time with family and friends. Janice was especially fond of her daughter Stephanie's dog, Starr Mina Parsons. This was unusual as she never let animals in the house before Starr.

On October 16, 2013, Janice passed peacefully from this life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Alberta Stovall and her sisters, Betty, Carolyn and Deborah.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Warren David (Pamela) Parsons and Stephanie E. Parsons-Hunter; her grandchildren, Andrew Harris, Michael (Dora) Parsons, Raymone Parsons and Aarin Parsons; twelve great grandchildren; her sisters, Beverly Wallace, LaVern Patrick and JoAnn Stovall and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
