Nytasha Coil

Nytasha Coil, age 52, passed away July 2, 2024.  Visitation Services will be held at Corinthian Baptist Church, Saturday, July 13, 2024 at noon with Funeral Services beginning at 1:00 P.M.  

Nytasha E. Welch-Coil was born on August 7, 1971 to David R. and Ira J. (Thomas) Welch in Des Moines, IA. She was educated in the Des Moines Public School System and attended Roosevelt High School. 

Nystaha was employed through UnityPoint Methodist Medical Center for several years. 

Nytasha was a proud parent of 5; Jovan, Deeair, Devonte, Malik, and Aaliyah. She had a special relationship with her siblings, Tracy and David. 

Nytasha met and married the love of her life, Larry Coil, who preceded her in death.

Nytasha had a passion for helping others in need. She knew her way around a kitchen, something she learned from her mother (Ira). Nytasha was known for her breakfast specialty of bacon, sausage, eggs and potatoes. She could also fry some fish and she loved to grill. Nytasha was a die hard fan of the ATL Falcons and Boston Celtics.  

Nytasha passed away on July 2, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Coil; parents, Ira J. and David Welch; brother, Eulawrence Welch; grandparents, aunts, uncles and a host of cousins. 

Left to cherish her sweet memory and courageous spirit are her children, Jovan Welch, Deeair Welch, Devonte Welch, Malik Coil, Aaliyah Welch; sister, Tracy Welch; brother, David Welch Jr.; 11 grandchildren; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; special friends, David Coleman, Niecy Brown, Trina Turner and Michelle Curry; along with a host of aunties, uncles, and cousins.
