Ron Arthur Ramsey

Mr. Ron Arthur Ramsey was born July 10, 1952 to John Arthur Ramsey and Margaret Ann Gorman in Des Moines, IA.



Ron was educated in the Des Moines Public Schools where he graduated from North High School.



Shortly after high school, Ron enlisted into The United States Army. Ron served two times and was honorably discharged each time. During his time in the service he received a Good Conduct Medal and a National Defense Service Medal.



Ron was a member of Union Baptist Church where he once was a part of the Choir. He had various jobs throughout his life but retired early 2014 from Des Moines Public Schools as a Bus Driver.



Ron had a fun loving personality and always found something to laugh about. He loved sports and once coached and refereed little league football.



Ron, 61, passed away on May 22, 2014 in the comfort of his own home. He was preceded in death by his father, John Ramsey and his brother, William Banks.



Ron will be missed by his mother, Margaret Ramsey; his brother, Jon Rickie Ramsey; his sister, Michelle Strickland; his many nieces and nephews; along with a host of extended family and friends.
