Terry Wayne Logan

Terry Wayne Logan was born October14, 1961 to Oscar and Margaret Lillian Hutchins Logan. He was a lifelong resident of Des Moines, graduating from Tech High School.

After graduation, Terry spent time traveling the country, living briefly in Jefferson City, Missouri and Texas. Terry was a wild one, but when he moved back to Des Moines he was ready to settle down. He obtained a job as the Chef at the Holiday Inn downtown and began a lifelong love affair with cooking. Terry's best friend was his grill. He had BBQ smoke in his blood. Even on a cold winter day you could find him outside in his hat and overcoat, tending to the grill. When Terry wasn't cooking you find him under a car. He loved tinkering with cars, fixing them, restoring them and then selling them. Terry also love fishing and he could really cook his own catch.

On his birthday in 2001, Terry married his coworker Diana Thompson and their two families became one. Together they shared ten children.

March 4, 2014, Terry left the cares of this world behind when he answered the Master's call to rest. Terry was 52 years old. Waiting to meet him on the other side were his father, Oscar; his brother, Howard and sister, Marilyn

Terry is survived by his wife, Diana; his children, Brendetta Logan, Talia Logan Brown, Jordan Rinard, Monique Rinard, Lonnie Ingram, Chris Ingram, Ricky Martinez, Terry Robinson and Terrance Logan; his mother, Lillian Brown; mother in law, Diane Stovall; his siblings, Lisa Logan, Pauletta Jones, Tee Page and Denise Gates; brothers in law, Curtis Caswell and Marco Thompson; sisters in law, Pamela Parsons, Shelly Long, Anita Booker and Monica Vines; the grandchildren he adored, R'zia, Amariah, Ariah Lynn, Denyl and Miyah along with numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and many, many friends.
