Viola Robinson

Viola Robinson was born to Edward "Snow" Robinson Sr. and Carrie Coles on April 17, 1930 in Des Moines, IA. She had nine siblings, Bernadine, Grace, Minnie, Jewel, Ruth, Edward, Tate, Walt, and Lloyd.

Viola was educated in the Des Moines schools and went to Tech High School. For most of her life as an adult she was an apartment manager where she later retired in 1991.

Viola cherished spending time with her grand and great grandchildren, playing bingo, cooking, watching NFL football. She was also a huge movie fan and her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving.

Viola passed away on May 12, 2013. She is preceded in death by her children, Freddie Flagg, Jr. and Larry Robinson; her parents, Edward and Carrie Robinson; her siblings, Bernadine Davis, Grace Robinson, Minnie Robinson, Jewel Robinson, Ruth Robinson, Edward Robinson, Tate Robinson, Walt Robinson, and Lloyd Tate; and her niece, Llana Robinson.

Viola is survived by her children, Nora Lynn Evans, Patricia Flagg, Valeria Council, James Robinson, Pernell Flagg, Craig Flagg, Rico Robinson, Michael Robinson, and Billie Burke; grandchildren, Rochelle Bauer, Richard Evans, Shannell Chibueze, James Banks, Steven Flagg, Aundray Hill, Karl Flagg, Kortez Flagg, Deondrae Flagg, Craig Flagg, Jr., Rosalyn Council, Ashley Council and Roosevelt Councill III; her great grandchildren, Channing Cason, Grace Evans, Gabriella Leaphart, Nora Taylor Evans, Justus Chukwukasi Chibueze, Gabriella Catherine Chimamanda Chibueze, Imiah, Sahara, Dejah and James Banks, Jr.; additional grand and great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and dear friends, including: Tyrone Davis, R.J. Edwards, Kurt Bauer, Marsha Evans, Remigius Chibueze, Leane Banks and Elizabeth Caville.
