Virginia Louise Nelson Walden was born November 12, 1952 in Ottumwa, IA to Martha Viola (Haygood) Walden and Brady Nelson, Sr..

She attended Des Moines Tech High School and also obtained an AS degree in Human Services and accounting. She was employed by the State of Iowa as a secretary before she moved to Toledo, OH.

Virginia love going fishing, cooking the fish she caught and eating them. She made the best fried potatoes and onions to go with her fish. Virginia had a big heart and loved being around her family and friends. Though Virginia didn't have children, she spoiled all her nieces and nephews.

Virginia passed away on June 7, 2014 in Toledo, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother George Nelson and her grand parents, Lottie Haygood and Hope Nelson.

Virginia is survived by her life partner of 17 years, James Henley; her siblings, Virginia Brady, Patricia Hickman, Ruby Nelson, John Nelson, Sr., Polly Nelson, Frank 'Duane' Nelson, Edward 'Dink' Nelson; her stepchildren, Sonya and DeJuan Conners, Gianni Jewett, Jackie Walden and Zonna Jewett and a host of nieces, nephews extended family and friends.

Memorials may be made to the family or funeral home.
