Willa Meena Williams

Willa Meena (Cameron) Williams was born September 9, 1969, to Hazel Lee Jones and Izell Carroll in Blue Mountain, MS. Meena was educated in the local school district and graduated from Herbert Hoover High School in Des Moines, IA, class of 1987.

Willa was a loving wife, mother, and sister. Her life involved three things work, church, and family. Meena worked as assistant manager for Aldi for 34 years and was a member of Revival Center Church of God in Christ serving as Finance Clerk/Treasurer for 15 years. Meena was the epitome of a lady, she carried herself with class and grace. She was a foster mom who cared for many from infants to teens.

On October 22, 2021, Meena made her final transition from time into eternity after a brief battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lawrence and Eula B. Cameron and her uncles, Charlie Cameron, Jimmie Cameron, Sr., and Jimmie Cameron, Jr.

Left to cherish Meenas memory is her husband, John Williams; children, BriAuna Williams, Cameron Williams, Tyerell (Sadie) Jones, and Miyana Williams; her mother, Hazel Jones; father, Izell Carroll; brothers, William and Kevin Jones; granddaughter, Zamariah Jones; Godson, Jossiah Pringle; mother-in-law, Ina (Sam) Putney; her special cousin, James (Pete) Cameron and aunt, Stella Berry, as well as other loving family and friends.

We would like to say a special "Thank You" to the nurses and doctors at Unity Point Iowa Methodist Hospital (Powell 3) for the excellent care they gave Meena.
